Step into Nature, Connect with Peers, and Elevate Your Business Thinking
Join us for a rejuvenating morning of Netwalking at the stunning Exclusive Members-Only Charnwood Lodge Nature Reserve, managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. This 134.2-hectare reserve is the largest area of moorland in the East Midlands, featuring a unique landscape of dry hills covered with bracken and wet heaths dominated by purple moor-grass. It's also a site of significant geological interest, home to ancient volcanic rocks dating back approximately 600 million years. Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust have granted us special permission to access this land for our morning netwalking, so don’t miss out on this special invitation only event.
We are grateful to the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust who have supported this event and are pleased that £1 from every booking made will be given to them to support their essential work in the area. If you wish to join as a member for continued access to this nature reserve, among other benefits, or wish to make a further donation, please visit their website www.lrwt.org.uk.
Our walk will be led by Katy Draper, an ICF-accredited executive coach, qualified walk leader, and member of Leicestershire Search and Rescue. With over 20 years of experience running her own healthcare marketing agency, Katy brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for connecting business professionals with the benefits of nature.
This Month's Theme: Juggling Multiple Priorities
In our July session, we'll explore strategies for managing the myriad priorities that come with running a business. Through guided discussions amidst the tranquillity of nature, you'll gain fresh perspectives and actionable insights to help you navigate your professional and personal responsibilities more effectively. They'll also be ample opportunity to share your business cards and make those all important connections.
Why Netwalking?
-
Natural Inspiration: Engage in meaningful conversations while immersed in the serene beauty of Charnwood Lodge.
-
Professional Growth: Benefit from expert coaching and peer discussions on relevant business challenges.
-
Community Connection: Build supportive relationships with like-minded professionals in a relaxed setting.
-
Wellness Boost: Experience the mental and physical health benefits of walking in nature.
After our walk, we'll gather at St Joseph's for coffee and cake—a perfect opportunity to continue conversations and solidify new connections.
Distance: Approximately 4 miles / 6.5 km - we may reduce this depending on the needs of the group.
Terrain:
Mostly paths through forest, there will be some tree roots and a few rocks to negotiate. Depending on how much rain we have had it may be muddy in places. It is likely that there will be a couple of stiles to negotiate. We will be crossing some roads and walking along a verge for a short amount of time.
Level:
This will be an easy to moderate walk
Time Estimate:
Between 2 and 3 hours.
