Need help?
Helping you and your child ease the transition BACK TO SCHOOL.
Returning to school after the summer holidays can be a daunting prospect for many.
It can cause stress, anxiety and unease.
Perhaps your child is moving up to a secondary school.
Perhaps they are moving to a different school.
Perhaps your child is sensitive to change and finds it difficult to deal with.
Perhaps their experience of being at school is not always enjoyable.
Perhaps they just need a space in which they can re-charge and re-set their mind for the new school year.
I understand how stressful and demanding the transition can be both for children and parents.
This summer I'd like to help you make the experience a bit easier, smoother and less stressful.
That's why I've decided to hold this workshop.

What would it be like to spend 2 hours in a space in which your child can totally relax, escape their worries, be free of anxiety and stress ?
What would it be like for you and your child to spend 2 hours exploring your ability to find peace through fun mindful activities and games, through listening to soothing sounds and a guided visualisation?
What would it be like to learn techniques which can help you and your children ease their anxiety helping them manage their return to school better?
What would it feel like to be with your child, be truly present with them and create genuine connection for you so that you can support them during the transition back to school and beyond?
Our mindfulness and meditation workshop for parents and children offers just that.

I'm Katerina, founder of MindCraft, and at the very end of the summer holidays I bring you a unique workshop for children and their parents. My workshop is designed to support children, young teens and their parents who:
- find the transition back to school after the summer holidays a challenge
- suffer from anxiety, stress or overwhelm
- are sensitive to change. New environments and people can cause anxiety and distress
- are curious about mindfulness and meditation
- would like to learn tools and techniques to ease anxiety and stress
- look for a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space
- need to unwind and relax after a busy summer
- struggle with self-confidence

In my workshop you and your child will be invited to join in activities that promote a sense of calm and well-being whilst having fun in a safe and nurturing environment.
I believe in a respectful and compassionate approach to children, which means they will never be asked to join in an activity that doesn't feel right for them. I hold space for the children and work intuitively tuning into the children's needs in the moment.
During our workshop you and your child will have an opportunity to:
- learn and understand how our mind and our thoughts impact the way we feel
- learn to use your breath to become calmer and more at peace
- use your senses to help you be present and in the moment
- listen to and try and play gongs and chimes
- try out essential oils for instant upliftment
- go on an imaginative journey during a guided meditation
- enjoy a soundbath
- engage in gentle activities that help release emotions and feelings of anxiety

I have experience working with sensitive and highly sensitive children and children on the autism spectrum.
All are very welcome and we will make sure all of their needs are respected and accommodated.
Our workshop will be an intimate experience. We will not be a large group.
You will need to bring a yoga mat, a blanket, a cushion and a bottle of water with you.
Children are welcome to bring their favourite teddy, soother or a fidget with them.
If they have a favourite set of colouring pens or pencils, please bring them too.
All other materials will be provided.

A testimonial from a past participant:
'Ed was looking forward to the workshop but woke up in the morning feeling a bit unwell due to hayfever and the fact that he hadn't slept well. He was a bit nervous on the way as he worries about the 'what ifs' in new situations (such as what if we're late, what if we can't find the venue, what if I don't know what to do) but at the end he asked if we could come to another workshop. He said the workshop had helped his hayfever and felt much better. He enjoyed the guided mediation and smelling the essential oils.'
'I myself enjoyed spending time with Ed. I loved the guided mediation and felt relaxed at the end of the session.'
