Open To Everyone: Beginners or Advanced Meditation Practitioners.
Mindfulness meditation allows everyone to gain the tools of slowing down, new insights into life, themselves, and opportunities for inner growth. Meditation offers the opportunity to slow down and look within. Science has shown that mediation lowers stress which strengthens our immune system.
The Tuesday Evening Meditation Class consists of a 30-minute sitting, reflective talk, and discussion.
Tuesday Evening Mindfulness Meditation is freely offered through the Mindfulness Care Center a 501(3)(c) charitable organization. We are supported by your donations, which sustain our programs and support everyone being able to attend our groups and classes.

Rik began a meditation practice in the late 80s. He's a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, a certified SEP - Somatic Experiencing Stress and Trauma Counselor/Practitioner, and a Buddhist/Interfaith Chaplain. Rik has a Private Practice working with clients one-on-one to resolve long-held stresses, unresolved anxieties, and PTSD, plus offering grief & loss support. Rik has served at San Francisco General and CPMC Hospitals. He presently sits on the Professional Advisory Group For Spiritual Care for CPMC/Sutter Health Hospitals in San Francisco. He's a member of the USABP/United States Association Of Body Psychotherapy.
Rik facilitates and leads various mindfulness classes based on embodied practices of healing stress, unresolved anxieties, grief, and loss.
