LAST MINUTE NOTICE: SO SORRY, ALL CAMPING PLACES HAVE NOW BEEN TAKEN!
Nestled in the heart of Mid-Wales, El Sueño Existe festival is inspired by the life, music and example of Victor Jara. This visionary musician and theatre director was part of the New Song movement in Salvador Allende’s Chile.
Borrowing from that political vision, the festival is a forum for cultural expression, social justice and human rights. Each year it focuses on a different South or Central American country, and through music, dance, theatre, poetry and political debate it casts a vibrant light on the work of progressive political and environmental movements from that country. This year, our special emphasis is on El Salvador, as well as the Peace and Justice Project.
This bi-annual festival, which began in 2005, is family friendly, having a full children's activity programme. Campers and camper vans welcome (Please note: camping is from Thursday night to Saturday night only. All Sunday night camping space has now been taken). The price of the camping applies to the pitch; you do not need to buy a camping ticket for each person.
Important note: You can also park up your campervan overnight in Maengwyn Street car park, Machynlleth town centre. You need to buy an all-day ticket (4 pounds) which then entitles you to stay over night. There are toilets in the car park. (more info: https://en.powys.gov.uk/article/4674/Machynlleth-car-park).
There is also a wide variety of accommodation available in and around Machynlleth.
Under 13's go FREE!
We discourage the bringing of dogs unless absolutely necessary. Dogs must not enter the camping area.
