🌍 Minehead Community Screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing

We invite you to attend a free screening of the People's Emergency Briefing in Minehead Community Centre.

Facilitated by Minehead and Coast Development Trust and the West Somerset Green Action Group, we invite you to join us for an evening focused on nature, our climate and what it means for Minehead and our community.

Join us on Tuesday 15 September 2026 at Minehead Community Centre from 7:15pm.

Based on the National Emergency Briefing presented in Westminster and featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times, this powerful film brings together leading UK scientists and experts to explain the latest evidence on climate change and nature loss, and what it means for everyday life in the UK.

The film explores issues including:

🌧️ Extreme weather and flooding
🍞 Food security and farming
🏥 Health and wellbeing
💷 The cost of living
🌿 Nature and biodiversity loss

Refreshments will be available from 7:15pm, with the screening beginning at 7:45pm.

After the film, there will be an open discussion about what these challenges mean for our local community, along with information on practical actions we can all take to support nature, build resilience, and create positive change close to home.
