"People in my region don’t see the value in supporting local mission work. They believe this is something that should be funded by foreigners, not by locals, because that is what they have seen happen for a long time. But we need to change this mindset." -  A church leader from the Global South

For decades, mission funding has mostly followed a one-way path — resources flowing from the wealthy countries in the Global North to the Global South.

However, this approach has often created and reinforced unhealthy dependencies. It has created power imbalances. It has robbed churches and Christian communities in the Global South of opportunities to participate in God’s local and global mission. And, it has left many ministries struggling to sustain themselves.

These issues were at the heart of our conversations at the Fourth Lausanne Congress in Seoul (September 2024).

For four afternoon sessions, over 100 Christian leaders, fundraisers, and philanthropists came together to discuss the biggest challenges they face in fundraising.

They came together to imagine a different future where every Christian community worldwide actively participates in and supports missions.

And, to create new ways of collaboration for releasing more resources for the acceleration of the Great Commission.

Now, we want to bring these conversations to you.

We won’t be presenting polished solutions.

Instead, we’ll be sharing the findings from our collaborative sessions and inviting you to wrestle with the hard questions.

  • How do we break the cycle of dependency on foreign funding and grow local giving?
  • How do we promote biblical stewardship and generosity in different cultures?
  • How can we build trust between ministry partners and ministry leaders in relational and culturally relevant ways?

This online event is a space for listening, reflecting, and responding to the challenges ahead of us.

A space where we can pray and connect with others who share the same vision of a global church that funds missions not from one region to another, but from everywhere to everywhere.

If you’re a church leader, fundraiser, or simply someone who believes we need to reshape how we resource God’s mission, we’d love for you to join us.

Let’s talk. Let’s pray. Let’s reimagine the future of Christian giving together.

Register now and join our conversation.

Blessings to you and your ministry team,
