Transport yourself to the tropics at a fabulous Caribbean Family Fun day being held in the stunning setting of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park in East Cornwall on Sunday, June 4th.
Whether you are a toddler, teen or young at heart, there will be something for everyone at this event with a difference, including laid back reggae and rhythmic ska music and atmospheric sounds from the Real Steel pan drum band. You can really get the Caribbean vibe going at the drum workshops being run by Shumba Arts and dance workshops with Street Factory.
A bouncy castle and variety of children’s entertainment will keep the youngsters amused while the adults can browse a range of original gift stalls and indulge in a delicious drink or two from the rum and cocktail bar. And when you feel peckish, head for the food stalls, where the tantalising aromas of a range of Caribbean delights like jerk chicken, curried goat and curried chicken will make you feel as though you are exploring the streets of Barbados or Bermuda.
Dig out the board shorts, stick a flower in your hair and slip your feet into flip flops for this very special day out, which runs from 10:30am until 4pm.
