2025 MLC SPRINTER FUN RUN

We are SO incredibly excited to host the 15th edition of this beloved MLC Homecoming tradition! This FREE event has become a favorite way for many to kick off Homecoming celebrations. 

WHEN & WHERE:

For those joining us in person: The race will begin and end at the Sprinter Statue outside the Luther Student Center on the MLC campus.  Check-in will be from 8:15 - 8: 50 AM in the LSC. A group photo and instructions will be given from 8:50-9:00 AM, and the race will start at 9:00 AM.

For virtual participants:  You will complete a 1-mile route of your choosing (walking or running) anytime between October 5 - October 11. We encourage you to wear your MLC gear (or black and red) if you have any! You then will upload a picture of yourself to the Sprinter Fun Run Kudoboard (link will be shared later) by Sunday, October 12, at 2 PM. Please share the names of the people that are all listed in the picture. Any participant that has registered and is pictured will be qualified for a door prize. 

REGISTRATION & PRIZES:

Registration: The registration deadline (if you would like to qualify to win a door prize) is Thursday, October 9. Walk-ins are welcome to join us, though! You do NOT need to be registered for the Fun Run to participate the day of the event. You will register for the Fun Run and at this site. 

Prizes: There are 3 prize categories for both in-person and virtual participants, so those categories are shown when you register. Youth (high school and under), current MLC student, and adults.

PLEASE NOTE: When you are checking out, it will give you the option to SHIP (all virtual participants will choose this), or PICK UP. It will say to pick up your shirt at the MLC Bookstore, but as in the past you will pick them up at the registration table that morning at the Fun Run. 

A special shout out once again to Katherine Schmoller for designing our Sprinter Fun Run logo this year!

The red heather shirts (pictured below) are short sleeve, soft-style, and are available in Youth XS - Adult 4XL. They are available in additional sizes, but they would be printed on a slightly different style of shirt. If you would be interested in ordering an alternate size, please email: zahrtse@mlc-wels.edu.

Current MLC students - $10.00

All Other Participants: $15.00

Postage costs (USPS to U.S. addresses only . . . apologies to our international friends) will be a flat $8, regardless of the number of shirts sent to your address. Locals and MLC students need not pay postage and will pick up their shirts at the event. All virtual participants will have their shirt mailed to them shortly after the event (included with their prize if they are a winner).
