'We're back and bigger and better for 2027.

Midland Mods Mayday returns to The Crossing in Birmingham on Saturday May 8th following our successful first event in 2026.We have an exciting line up for you that draws from the music scene from 1979 to the present day.

Performing live-

From The Jam - Formed in 2006 by Russell Hastings and Rick Buckler and later joined by original The Jam Bass player Bruce Foxton, this powerhouse band perform all the songs of The Jam with 'Fire and Skill'

Purple Hearts - Original 79 Mod Revival band from Romford fronted by Bob Manton who leads the anthemic chants of 'Millions Like Us', 'Jimmy', and 'Frustration' amongst others.

The Circles - Wolverhampton based 79 band formed by Mick Walker, signed to Graduate Records, releasing a number of singles including fan favourites 'Opening Up', 'Billy' and 'Summer Nights'. Performing a full band set 

The Mods - We are excited to be adding another original 79 band who appeared on the Mods Mayday album with the tracks 'Let Me Be The One', 'Tonight Is the Night' and 'Love Only Me' . Formed in North London by David Ross and co and reforming exclusively for Midland Mods Mayday.

The Killermeters- After a storming debut at Midland Mods Mayday 2026 the SX225 boys return by popular demand to grace the main stage once again in 2027

The Hornets - Exciting young band from West London playing their own mix of RnB and currently selling out venues around the UK

The Electric Stars - Manchester based band formed by Jason Edge, big on the scene for a number of years playing 60s influenced high octane Psychedelic Rock'n'roll

The Trouble - Recently formed London band - think 60s Girl Group meets Garage Psych and Rock'n'roll including (in)famous Brummie Mod Bioux on Guitar.

Ocean Cover Scene - A tribute to Birmingham's most famous Mod Scene Sons 'OCS'
Cian Downing- Returning to Midland Mods Mayday following a sold out tour of the UK playing an acoustic set of original material and selected covers.

Turner - Salford based Louise Turner is an established name on the scene. From her debut solo album 'This Is Turner' to fronting DC Fontana, her Soulful vocals will be on display at Midlands Mods Mayday with an exclusive acoustic set.

The Two - Dante and Max from Who's Next, Stalwarts of the Mod and Scooter Scene, performing a stripped back set of Who songs on the acoustic stage.

Jodie - Yorkshire based Soul singer who released her debut single 'Pushover' on Gravity Records in 2021 and continues to bring her Soulful 60s vibe to venues around the UK

Noah McBride(@sonofamod) - A young Man, still at school but already causing a stir on the scene with his guitar driven tunes, inspired by The Molotovs and Paul Weller and destined for stardom. Don't miss his set at Midland Mods Mayday.

DJs-
Jacqui Carroll - Dublin based DJ with an extensive career playing throughout Europe and the UK and tour DJ for a number of bands including 'The Vapors' and 'Robert Arkins Commitments'

Alan May- Glory Boy Radio founder with an unrivalled knowledge of all things Revival and well known to all on the scene.

DJ Mez- played storming sets at the 2026 event and back by popular demand

Hitzville Chalky - Well known on the Birmingham Mod scene and DJ on WCR FM radio with his own Soul show and respected throughout the Northern Soul circuit

Stalls and more -
There will also be a number of pop up stores on the day from popular clothing brands, record stores and more plus big screen visuals, scooter display, special guests, exhibitions, hot food stalls and much more TBC
Our 2026 event sold out well in advance and with the line up for 2027 is sure to sell out in equally quick time.Good local transport network with Birmingham New St and Birmingham Moor St rail stations and National Express Coach station all 5 mins walk from the venue and a host of hotels within walking distance including budget hotels such as Travelodge and Premier Inn. Birmingham Airport is only 10 mins by train to Birmingham New St
