At Modern Day Sniper we don’t believe in the constraints of the “basic” vs. “advanced” course mindset when it comes to the professional application of marksmanship with a scoped rifle. We believe that there is no distinction between basic and advanced skills, but only a distinction between the levels of efficiency with which shooters apply these skills. When a student graduates a basic class, he or she will be expected to navigate and problem solve dynamic situations regardless of their experience level. 

Class Prerequisites: This class is specifically focused on professional snipers, it is NOT open to the general public. Students attending will be required to submit a copy of their law enforcement credentials or US Department of Defense ID card, and a copy of a graduation certificate from an accredited sniper school. 

Here's who's eligible: Any active duty or reserve Law Enforcement Officer, or Department of Defense member who is currently filling the billet of a sniper or designated marksman. If you fill the billet/role but don't have a basic sniper certification, you may still attend but you must be serving in that billet/role at the time of enrollment.

What You’ll Learn:

Regardless of the students’ experience level, attendees can expect to be exposed to a carefully selected series of classes, practical application exercises and drills that will challenge their current skills level. Upon arrival, shooters will shoot a marksmanship intake evaluation where they will establish a baseline proficiency level of the marksmanship tasks that would be utilized while deployed. Once that proficiency level has been established, our staff will identify each student’s strengths and points of improvement, then formulate a plan for that individual. It’s not our job to teach you when to utilize your skills in your chosen line of work. It’s our job to further your understanding of your individual capabilities and expand your capacity to learn new skills and increase your efficiency and economy of motion.

Ultimately, bringing all levels of experience and skills together in one clinic benefits everyone. Newcomers will be afforded the opportunity to learn from not only the instructor staff, but also from watching more experienced snipers. Conversely, the more experienced snipers will be exposed to an upcoming generation, learning valuable mentorship skills to ensure a long-lasting legacy is established with the highest of standards.
