Modern Grantmaking is not one simple trick. It is underpinned by a set of clear values and tangible practices. By the end of the course, participants will:
Learn the five values and core practices of Modern Grantmaking, as well as how these can be implemented within real funding organisations.
Pick up practical tips for avoiding common mistakes, especially the sort that cause grief for your grantseekers.
Understand how to manage power to prevent it spoiling your grantmaking.
Develop an action plan to help embed learning further.
What to expect
This is a real-time 2-week online course with live sessions. These cover various topics, and you will be challenged to complete a variety of self-led activities, especially between the two workshops.
Time commitment is approximately 2-3 hours a week and a digital certificate is provided upon completion.
Please note that this course will be delivered over Zoom. We will share an Info Pack for participants in advance and subsequent meeting invites that will provide joining instructions. These instructions are not available on TicketTailor.
Who should attend
The workshop is for anyone working within grantmaking organisations, whether private, government or corporate.
It isn't just for individuals with 'grants' in their job titles - legal, financial, IT and other colleagues are welcome.
Prior Knowledge – We have designed this course so that people brand new to grantmaking as well as those with years of experience will be able to learn and be supported to apply this learning to real-world opportunities and challenges.

Cancellations made seven or more days before the workshop will receive 100% refunds. Cancellation seven or fewer days before the workshop are not eligible for refunds.
