Bidh Comann Gàidhlig Ghlaschu a’ cur am prògram 26/27 aca air bhog leis an tachartas shònraichte seo. Bho Uibhist a Deas, tha sàr-bhàrd, sgrìobhadair, is cleasaiche Aonghas Phàdraig Caimbeul ag ath-leughadh òraid bho bheul-aithrisiche Dòmhnall Eairdsidh Dòmhnallach a chuala e ann an 1992 le leth-bhreac a fhuair e bho Dhòmhnall Eairdsidh fhèin. Tha an òraid a sgrùdadh an dàimh eadar seanchas agus litreachas, is tha e cho buntainneach an latha an-diugh ’s a bha e a-riamh. Bidh e air a’ leughadh sa Ghàidhlig le an eadar-theangachadh a sgrìobh Dòmhnall Eairdsidh dha sa Bheurla ri fhaighinn à beul a chèile.

Comann Gàidhlig Ghlaschu launches its 26/27 programme with this special event. From the island of South Uist, award-winning poet, novelist and actor Angus Peter Campbell will re-read a talk by folklorist Donald Archie MacDonald that he first heard in 1992, a copy of which was given to him after the event by Donald Archie himself. The talk delves into the relationship between storytelling and literature and is as relevant now as it was then. It will be read in Gaelic, with Donald Archie's own English translation provided simultaneously.
