As part of the Festival of Archaeology we’re sharing findings from our recent excavations, so come and discover the hidden histories of Brentford all around you.
Expert Archaeologist Robert Hartle will deliver a talk on the history of St Lawrence's Church, including the archaeology of the building itself, the excavations of the church's burial grounds, with a focus on the grave goods and communities buried there.
PLEASE NOTE: The talk will include images of excavated human remains, warnings will be included in presentation.
The church is accessible but lacks electricity and facilities (but there are other toilets in the nearby supermarket, Morrisons). Those with dust allergies may wish to wear facemasks and suitable walking shoes are recommended.
Meet our team at the black gates to the entrance of the church - Google "Ronald Road" (off the High Street) to get as close as you can and you will see the meeting point (///transfers.across.plans) :

Please arrive 5 mins before your time to allow for the registration process.
