Entry to St Lawrence Church Festival of Archaeology Day - PLEASE SELECT TIME
Multiple dates and times
St Lawrence's Church, TW8 8EW
Description
Join us for a community celebration of Brentford’s past! All events are FREE.
As part of the Festival of Archaeology we’re sharing findings from our recent excavations, so come and discover the hidden histories of Brentford all around you.
St Lawrence is still a construction site so all access must be TICKETED and limited to 30 people at a time. Registering means you can:
- Take a look around St Lawrence's Church which has been mostly closed to the public since the 1960s
- Take part in historically-inspired craft activities and a community collage of Brentford's High St
- Speak to our archaeologists about working on site and the finds from previous excavations
- Speak to volunteer local historians about the history of the site and of Brentford
Please note: the church is accessible but lacks electricity and facilities (but there are other toilets in the nearby supermarket, Morrisons). Those with dust allergies may wish to wear facemasks and suitable walking shoes are recommended.
Meet our team at the black gates to the entrance of the church - Google "Ronald Road" (off the High Street) to get as close as you can and you will see the meeting point (///transfers.across.plans) :
Please arrive 5 mins before your time to allow for the registration process.
