Music in Bass Hall- RUMBARROCO Latin-Baroque Fusion
RUMBARROCO presents Weaving Music Threads, an evening of Spanish and Portuguese Renaissance and Baroque compositions fused with Latin American popular and folk music. This cross-culture fusion creates a luminous tapestry of African, Amerindian, and European sounds. Focusing on the Nativity, the program includes gentle villancicos filled with intimacy and devotion and exuberant choral works radiating rhythmic vitality. These pieces embody centuries of cultural fusion, where European baroque traditions intermingled with Indigenous and African voices to create something uniquely vibrant.
