Intensive Online Restorative Practice Training Programme for Primary Schools

8 Online Training Sessions, one per month from September 2026 to May 2027, 90 minutes per session, 3 staff members per school, max. 10 schools

This intensive Coaching Programme will suit all primary schools that have a basic knowledge of Restorative Practices and want to create momentum and cross-school community buy in. The programme will work with participants to create a Restorative Practice Team, create an overview of where the school sits on the Continuum of Restorative Practices and develop whole-school inductions models, including for parents, so that the foundations of the practice can be embedded from the outset. We will then work through how to build an Annual RP Programme which will sustain itself as the school moves from informal practices to circle work to eventually dealing with serious conflicts or bullying issues in a Restorative way.

We also create Restorative input for both your Code of Behaviour and Bí Cineálta policy that can be tweaked at each review as the school builds on its practice over time. The Programme offers your team opportunities for on-going, structured support as they go about the work of embedding Restorative Practice into your school’s codes of practice and Bí Cineálta policy, undertaking the gradual and joyful work of becoming a Restorative School Culture.

The Programme leans heavily into implementation science as the missing component to any Restorative Initiatives that your school may have visited already. It brings together all theoretical and practical elements into a sustainable yearly programme which will impact positively on relationships within the school environment and the parent community, reduce conflicts, transform challenging and unwanted behaviours with growing momentum.

On completion of the Programme, each participating school will have built their own RP Programme Document, which can be added to any Wellbeing Folder, as an addendum to your Code of Behaviour or Bí Cineálta Policy and can be reviewed on an annual basis.
