Play Description: A romance novelist wants to be alone with her writer’s block, but the duplex neighbor loses his electricity and hopes to find some at her place. As they plot a romance, the dark apartment next door gets lit up by two people they know well, and everyone will need to talk.
Playwright Bio: Kathy Dunnehoff started as a poet with an M.F.A. from the University of Montana, went on to publish four novels, including the bestseller The Do-Over, and had several screenplays place in competitions. But she always wanted to write a stage play, and We Need to Talk marks her first adventure as a playwright.
For more than 30 years, Kathy taught creative writing at Flathead Valley Community College. Additionally, she presents at writers conferences and gives a monthly craft lecture for the Authors of the Flathead. The first of her Hello, Writer! creative writing guides, Plan to Have Your Best Writing Year Ever, published in 2024.
This production is presented by the Montana Playwrights Network, a state-wide service organization supported by the Montana Arts Council, an agency of state government and the National Endowment for the Arts.
