Women in Theatre Project - World Premier

The Women in Theatre Project (World Premier) - Winter 2026

Book, Music and Lyrics by Jen Coogan

When composer Jen Coogan loses her father and starts questioning the artist’s life she’s chosen, she reaches out to her heroes. What begins as a moonshot project - interviewing eight groundbreaking women working in theatre - turns into an unexpected lifeline. From Broadway historian to a lighting designer to a company founder, each woman offers Jen their truths about the courage to keep going when the page stays blank.

Cautions: Contains mild language and brief adult humor; explores grief and a loved one’s serious illness with honesty and care
