Description
An elaborate miniature display that tells the Christmas story, the putz is a Moravian tradition that reaches back into the eighteenth century. This year's display will take place in the 1740 Gray Cottage and features the Morris Family putz. The collection includes hand-carved figurines from Germany that date to the mid-1800s.
Tours are available daily: 1:45, 2:45, and 3:45 pm.
Advance registration is encouraged. Admission to the putz exhibition is FREE. Please arrive at the Whitefield House Museum to check in for your tour. The Moravian Historical Society is located at 214 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.
