Life in Moravian settlements during the eighteenth century was musically rich and became renowned throughout the country. Moravian composers wrote thousands of vocal works, imported compositions and musical instruments, and, as visitors will see on this tour, they also created some of the first musical instruments of their kind made in America. Visitors will also learn how this love of music created a lasting legacy that continues today.
Tour offered at 1:00 p.m. on the third Saturday every other month.
Please note that the museum galleries are on the second floor of our historic building and are accessible only by stairs.
