Enjoy a guided tour of the 1740-1743 Whitefield House Museum and learn about the significant contributions Moravians made to music, art, education and culture in early America. Our museum features an outstanding collection of objects related to the establishment of the 18th-century Pennsylvania settlements of Nazareth and Bethlehem. Visitors can view early American musical instruments including the earliest-known violin and piano made in the American Colonies, oil paintings by John Valentine Haidt (1700–1780), and a rare 18th-century rifle made by Andreas Albrecht at the Moravian settlement of Christian's Spring. The museum galleries are on the second floor, which is accessible only by stairs. We do not have air conditioning.
