ICON Moray would like to invite you to our community event being held on:
***Tuesday 7th May 2024 from 4pm - 6pm at UHI Moray***
Being held as part of the Grampian Wellbeing Festival Peers from Moray Wellbeing Hub Champion network will host the session with fellow ICON members from Moray Autism Service and The Paddock. We will have a small sensory and creative corner alongside a number of stations to have a chat with a cuppa and cake, whilst connecting. Come along and connect with peers and find out about local support and services in the Moray area, peer support sessions are

- gain support by speaking with peers at the event
By booking here you let us know any preferences or support needs in advance. We can also let you know if the event has any changes, for example poor weather impacts. You are welcome to also drop-in, however those booking will have preference if the session becomes busy.
ICON Moray (Informing & Connecting Our Neurodivergent Families in Moray) was formed in 2022 through a working group of parents and professionals (including education, health, social care and 3rd sector) keen to make a difference for Moray’s young people.
Peers from Moray Wellbeing Hub Champion network will host the session with fellow ICON members from Moray Autism Service, FASD and The Paddock. We will have a small sensory and creative corner alongside a number of stations to have a chat with a cuppa and cake, whilst looking at the online resource.
The schedule for the session will follow along these lines:
4pm - 4:20 - Meet, greet, refreshments
4:20 - Welcome and overview of what ICON is and isn't
4:30/4:45 to close 6pm - opportunity to connect with peers around Neurodiversity, some with specific support around Addiction, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Education. Sensory area available during this time and 1-2-1 conversations possible if requested in advance.
When booking there will be an opportunity to request a call prior to the event or to be met to enter the event, please indicate should ou have any preferences. Any information given when booking is only for use by the ICON group members to ensure comfort and safety at the event.
For those keen to get more involved, ICON are keen to invite new members, especially from parents and carers. We will be developing our current support offer through our email address and flexible contribution of ideas and peer-supports.
