Envision a collaborative future as we explore Moray on bus beginning at 9:30 am in Forres with a range of stops and joining points, with refreshments organised. Join us for the full tour or a part of it, connecting with our vibrant community and inspiring new collaborations.

Build leadership and mentoring skills, discover diverse research techniques, and collaborate on innovative solutions tailored to community needs. Tour options:
Option 1: Full day with stops in Buckie, Aberlour (including lunch) and Elgin - 9.30(Forres pickup)/ 9.50 (Lossie pickup)/10.10am (Elgin pickup) till 3pm
Option 2: Elgin only 1.30pm - 3pm (no bus travel element)
Option 3: part of the above (may require your own transport)
The event will end with ensuring participants can make connecting Trains (Elgin to Aberdeen at 3.14 and Elgin to Inverness 3.12pm)
There is no return bus to Lossiemouth or Forres, however, we can support travel costs.
What to expect:
The day will be an equal split of conversation on the move in our 'tour bus' and stops at points in Moray for activities and refreshments. All food and beverages are provided, as well as support for travel and other expenses if required.
A detailed itinerary will be produced nearer the time and will reflect the interests of those booked to attend. We will continue to update you as these details are confirmed.
Current itinerary
- 9.30am to 10.10am pickups in Forres, Lossiemouth and Elgin
- 10.55am Buckie - Tea / coffee and activity with Earthtime for All (TBC)
- 12.20pm Aberlour - lunch and activity
- 1.35pm Elgin Cooper Park and Bow - creativity and community venues focus.
- 2.40pm: evaluate the day final feedback
- 3pm Close
Hosts:
Members of the Steering Committee for Collaboration for Mental Wealth will be your guides, helping to facilitate and share from their communities of interest and experience. Moray Wellbeing Hub team will also provide the logistic support on the day to ensure your day runs smoothly. However, the day's content will also come from you - your sharing, thoughts and ideas. Make sure you give us all the detail you can around what you hope to gain from the day to aid our planning.
Booking process:
Spaces are limited and to help us support you to get the most from the day the booking form will ask you a number of questions around your role and what you want from the day to ensure we can plan accordingly. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Bus and venue booking may require us to close or limit booking from mid-October. We are expecting the numbers joining the bus tour
Event outcomes: By attending we aim to improve your CHIME through increasing
- 1. Understanding of community research, including exploring research concepts / language and tools (Hope, empowerment, Identity)
- 2. Trust: Strengthened relationships between community members from different perspectives (connection, meaning)
Support to attend: Funding is available to support travel costs and other attendance costs such as childcare for those unpaid to attend the event. Please provide detail in the booking to enable us to meet your requirements.
