Your Voice Matters: Eating Disorders | Monday 29th June | 6:30pm - 7:30pm | 1 Hour Online Session
Join us for our first Your Voice Matters session this June. This will be a safe, peer-led support session for anyone in Moray affected by eating disorders — whether it’s your own experience or someone close to you.
Our focus is connection, understanding and creating a space where you can talk openly without judgement. Everything shared in the session stays in the session unless you give us consent to use it in our Collective Voice report (completely anonymous and unidentifiable). We hold the space with care, confidentiality and compassion.
There is no pressure to speak. You are welcome to come along, listen, and take part in whatever way feels right for you. You can join with your camera on, but are also welcome to join with camera off if that feels more comfortable to you.
What we will explore together
You can talk about anything connected to eating disorders, including:
- Anorexia Nervosa
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Binge Eating Disorder (BED)
- Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
- Any other eating related challenges
- Experiences of accessing support or services
- Peer support resources
- Stigma, barriers or challenges
- What helps you feel safe, supported and understood
This session is about you and your lived or living experience.
About Collective Voice
Alongside offering support, Moray Wellbeing Hub also gathers lived and living experience to help shape better support, reduce stigma and influence positive change in Moray.
This is called Collective Voice - a way for community experience to guide decisions, services and awareness-raising.
Taking part in Collective Voice is completely optional.
- If you attend the session purely for support and do not want anything you share to be included in our Collective Voice work, we will fully respect that.
- If you do want to contribute, you can choose how much or how little you share.
You can read more about Collective Voice on our website: Click Here
Prefer to Share Your Experience Anonymously?
If you are unable to attend the session, or you would rather share your experience privately, and in your own time, you can use our anonymous form:
This form is open to anyone in Moray with lived or living experiences and is completely anonymous.
If you decide you would like to take further steps in using your experience to help shape support in Moray, you can contact Moray Wellbeing Hub directly at hello@moraywellbeinghub.org.uk to find out more.

FAQs:
What makes Moray Wellbeing Hub courses different?
Real life experiences: We believe in harnessing the power of life experiences, taking what can be challenging and abstract concepts and make it more 'real', practically useful and easier to relate to for participants. Wherever possible our courses are delivered by peer-trainers, people who know the approaches and experiences first hand from their own life.
Keeping it local: Moray has a wealth of support and education organisations in wellbeing. Our courses are delivered for the benefit of the Moray community and therefore endeavour to help our participants build sustainable links beyond any course; resources they can signpost to and access in Moray. Wherever possible we will use local trainers, venues and resources, as well as promote and deliver our courses in mutual partnership with all sizes of local organisations.
