Morecambe Bay Poverty Truth Commission - Transition Celebration Event

The Morecambe Bay Poverty Truth Commission invite you to their
Transition Celebration

Vale of Lune RUFC, Torrisholme

Friday 20th November 5.00pm - 7.30pm

Come and celebrate the next chapter of the Morecambe Bay Poverty Truth Commission with its commissioners, friends and partners

After years of bringing together people with lived experience of poverty and local civic and community leaders, the Morecambe Bay Poverty Truth Commission is reaching the end of its current form and is morphing into its final embedding phase - not the end!

We’re inviting you to join us for our Transition Celebration – an opportunity to celebrate what we have achieved together, hear from the people who have been part of the Commission, and look ahead to what comes next.

At the event, we’ll share the projects, ideas and initiatives emerging from the Commission’s final round, developed by Community Commissioners and Civic Commissioners working together to create meaningful change across the Lancaster District.

We’ll also explore what the future could look like: how the projects and initiatives can continue beyond the Commission, and how the principles and way of working of Poverty Truth can become embedded within the organisations, services and support structures that shape people’s lives.

This isn’t simply an ending – it’s a chance to celebrate the relationships, learning and change that have grown through the Commission, and to consider how we can carry that work forward.

Come along, hear what’s been created, celebrate with us and help us imagine what comes next.

* A full pie supper and refreshments will be provided - please indicate any dietary or access requirements when booking *
