Little John Nee

Little John Nee is described as one of Ireland's most idiosyncratic and compelling live performers. His current show, Johnny Gotta Bus Pass, is billed as a joyous "elder-punk state-of-the-nation address" — funny, heartfelt, musical, and celebratory, arguing that ageing means showing up and playing louder.
As an artist, Nee makes theatre that blends clown, lyrical monologue, original song, and "quiet anarchy." His work has toured widely and been adapted for radio, film, and publication — titles include The Derry Boat, The Mental, Sparkplug, Tea Dance, Nettle Horse, and Zeitgeist Jukebox. He was elected to Aosdána in 2016.
