An Evening with Mark Little – The Last Good Day on the Internet

Thu 22 Oct 2026 19:30 - 21:00 Mount Carmel, Mount Carmel Monastery H62 AV62

Our first author evening at Mount Carmel.

Mark Little joins us to talk about his new book,

The Last Good Day on the Internet: Finding Hope and Humanity in a Superhuman World.

Many will remember Mark from RTÉ. He later founded Storyful and Kinzen and worked with Twitter and Spotify, giving him a rare inside view of how the online world was built, and how it broke.

The book traces the internet from its early days of curiosity and connection to the attention economy, algorithms and misinformation we live with now. With AI changing things again, Mark asks whether we can still shape it for the better.

This isn't a talk for tech experts. It's about the everyday: how we get our news, how our communities talk to each other, and what kind of online world our children are growing up in.

Mike Feerick will be in conversation with Mark, followed by questions from the audience.

Your €20 ticket includes a signed copy of the book (RRP €22.49), signed by Mark on the night.
