Mount St John overlooks the Vale of York, with stunning 40 mile views of York Minster and beyond on clear days. The garden beautifully reflects this captivating scenery.

The gardens were designed by 9-times Chelsea Gold winning Garden Designer, Tom Stuart-Smith, and feature a Victorian kitchen garden and cut flower gardens that supply local restaurants with fresh produce, there are several ornamental water features and an abundance of beautifully manicured lawns.
Visitors are treated to a delightful array of ornamental trees, rhododendrons, shrubs, and thousands of perennial plants, creating a picturesque and immersive experience.
The garden is not usually open to the public, making this a rare opportunity to explore the grounds.
Ticket numbers are limited, please book early to avoid disappointment.

Children should be accompanied at all times.
Disabled access is limited as the garden is created on multiple levels, with many steep inclines. Please be aware of the uneven terrain and trip hazards throughout the site.
Please note that dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not permitted within the gardens.
