"This half-day ONLINE course is designed for both injecting and non-injecting clinicians across all clinical settings. It offers a comprehensive overview of current evidence and clinical guidelines, along with an interactive discussion on key MSK injection topics."

WHY ATTEND THIS COURSE?

  • Are you aware of the most up to date evidence base regarding the use of injection therapy for common MSK conditions? How likely is it an injection will help? How long will the effect typically last?
  • Clinicians and patients often overestimate the benefits of injections and underestimate the risks! Develop your understanding of both to improve your shared decision making when discussing the option of injection therapy.
  • With the increase in availability of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) how important is it that injections are guided? Are they more accurate? Are they more effective?
  • What do you advice patients to do after an injection? How long should they rest for? When should they restart their rehab? Can they have further injections and when?
  • With the removal of Triamcinolone Acetonide (Kenolog), the evidence base for Methylprednisolone (Depomedrone) will be presented and alternative injectables will be discussed.

N.B This is a live session and due to the small delegate numbers interaction is encouraged to enhance the learning experience. For this reason the session WILL NOT be recorded. A 15 minute well being break will be included.
