*This is a 2 day event! The first group of sessions begin Friday afternoon and the Saturday session is a full day! CE credits are available for both days of learning! Please see session titles and the timed agenda below.*

Supervision Can Be Playful: Using Developmental Supervision Models to Enhance the Supervisory Experience
Are you a play therapist needing play therapy supervision training? Are you a play therapist supervisor wanting to enhance your supervision skills? If so, this is the training for you! This training will cover an overview of a developmental supervision model & how to enhance play therapy supervisory skills using creative & innovative tools. The training will provide the pragmatics of supervision & how to approach them from a developmental approach to supervision. Lastly, the specific components of play therapy supervision will be covered including successes, struggles, limitations, and the benefits that occur during supervision.
Big Behaviors in Small Containers: Practical Play Therapy Interventions for Dysregulated Children
This workshop will offer more than a dozen practical, fun, and immediately useful play therapy interventions that engage the family in setting treatment goals, augmenting adaptive coping, enhancing the healthy attachment between parent and child while helping them shift paradigms around problematic child behaviors. Powerful exploration of the stress response system help clients increase anger management skills, expand emotional literacy, practice pro-social skills with family and friends, address their difficult thoughts, and increase coherence in their trauma narratives.

Delight in Me-Integrating Parents as Partners into TraumaPlay
This workshop offers a multitude of immediately usable evidence informed TraumaPlay interventions for families as well as lots of newly created tools that help parents (and teachers) simplify neurobiological concepts, shift discipline strategies and become better Story Keepers.

Due to the conference being a 2 day event, please be sure to choose the ticket type that best fits your needs. We have an early bird special for members, non-members and students. Early Bird Special is available until March 14th before prices increase.
School Counselors: Due to Purchase Orders not being accepted for registration, we advise you to purchase your preferred ticket & certificate fee personally. Once you receive your invoice via email, you may use that documentation to request reimbursement from your district/school. Thank you for your understanding.

LOCATION AND PARKING:
Our conference is being held in B.C. Rogers Student Center (Mississippi College campus) which is building 46 on the map. B.C. Rogers is located directly across from Provine Chapel.
Friday Parking: The Office of Public Safety at Mississippi College has asked that we park in the parking garage on Friday. The parking garage is number 53 on the map.
Saturday Parking: On Saturday parking will be more readily available throughout campus. On Saturday you may find parking behind Lowrey Hall which is building 14 on the campus map.
Please let us know if you have mobility concerns and we can provide you with further instructions on closer parking.

Meet your Presenter, Paris Goodyear-Brown!

Paris Goodyear-Brown, LCSW, RPT-S, is the creator of the TraumaPlay™ model, the founder and Clinical Director of Nurture House, and the Executive Director of the TraumaPlay™ Institute. She is an internationally renowned speaker, a prolific author (Check out Paris's books here), and a master clinician. While she has spent the past 25 years specializing in treating trauma (sexual abuse, physical abuse, maltreatment and neglect) and attachment disturbances, as well as anxiety disorders, she often provides help for angry, dysregulated and depressed children and teens. She is an Adjunct Instructor of Psychiatric Mental Health at Vanderbilt University, guest lecturer for several universities in middle Tennessee, and travels around the world helping clinicians, parents, and teachers better serve children from hard places. She particularly enjoys integrating trauma-informed approaches and is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR therapist. She also finds great joy in helping other clinicians create safe spaces for children and families. She is a child development expert and frequently provides parent consultation, dyadic assessment and parent coaching to help parents manage and resolve their children’s behavior problems. With trainings in Morocco, Ireland, Australia, Sweden, Istanbul, South Africa, Nepal, Turkey and China as well as frequent domestic presentations, she is best known for developing clinically sound, played-based interventions that are used to treat a variety of childhood problems. She has received the APT award for Play Therapy Promotion and Education, serves on the Board of the Tennessee Association for Play Therapy, and served as the Executive Director of the Lipscomb Play Therapy and Expressive Arts Center. She provides play therapy and licensure supervision and consults with various school districts, agencies, and mental health organizations to help develop play therapy programs and create more developmentally sensitive programming. Some of her most recent books include Parents as Partners in Child Therapy: A Clinician’s Guide, Trauma and Play Therapy, Tackling Touchy Subjects, Play Therapy with Traumatized Children: A Prescriptive Approach and The Worry Wars: An Anxiety Workbook for Kids and their Helpful Adults. She delights in her husband, her three children, shifting paradigms, and holding hard stories for families in need.
Meet MSAPT Board Members and Supervision Speakers!

Kenisha W. Gordon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and
Counseling at Mississippi College. She received both her undergraduate and
graduate degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University in Psychology and
Counselor Education, respectively. Dr. Gordon graduated from the University of
Mississippi with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Dr. Gordon has
over 15 years of professional experience. She has worked with children, families
and adults in the juvenile judicial system, educational system, and private practice.
She has presented at several local, national, and state conferences. Her interest
areas are play therapy, supervision, and multiculturalism. Dr. Gordon is a state
Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), a nationally Approved Clinical
Supervisor (ACS), and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S).

Dr. Jerrilyn Dixson, LPC-S, RPT-S, BC-TMH, NCC is a licensed
professional counselor and national certified counselor. She holds a Bachelor’s of
Arts degree in Psychology from Dillard University, New Orleans, LA, a Master of
Science Degree in Clinical Counseling from Loyola University, New Orleans, LA
and a Doctorate of Professional Counseling degree from Mississippi College,
Clinton, Ms. In addition, she has specialized experience in career counseling. In
addition, she is a registered play therapy supervisor, board certified telemental
health counselor, and a certified integrative nutritional health coach.
Dr. Dixson has been working in the field for 12 years. Her field experience
includes, but is not limited to working with at risk youth, parents of at risk youth,
college students, inmates, and families. Through her experience with these
populations she has counseled clients dealing with parenting/child relationship
issues, risky behavior, anger, grief, adjustment/transition, enculturation, stress,
self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and employability skills/career concerns.
