In Islam, there is no call to blind faith. In fact, certainty is a personal obligation. We are commanded in the Quran to know that there is no god but God, with certainty. For this instruction to be just, the expectation must be realistic, and the path to experiencing this reality must be accessible to all.

What knowledge and practices allow us to witness this reality as clearly as the full moon? How do we encounter the divine winds that come from the presence of God as clearly as a cool breeze on a hot day? This month, we ask where this guidance begins, and how we actually taste the lived, experiential tranquility of true faith.

A Note on Our Gathering Space & Registration

As a newly registered charity, Muallif is tasked with a specific mandate: to spread the message of Islam for the wider public benefit. How? By providing tailored, accessible spaces for converts and those exploring Islam for the first time. Because the mainstream heritage community is so large, these intimate spaces are easily overwhelmed if we do not carefully curate them.

If a brother walked into a sisters’ Tajweed circle saying, "I need to learn the Quran too," we would gently guide him to a different space. That isn't gatekeeping; it is about ensuring specific educational needs are met properly.

Guided by our teachers to fulfill this fard kifayah (communal obligation), we curate this spaces:

• For Newcomers, Converts & people who are not Muslim: This space is built for you. Please register now.
• For Families & Companions of the above (Muslim or otherwise): You are warmly welcome to attend alongside your loved ones.
• For the wider Heritage Muslim Community: You are warmly invited to join us on one condition: you must actively support the mission by bringing someone exploring Islam, or a convert who would benefit.

Please note: Standard registrations from the heritage community not meeting these criteria will be invited to step back onto a waiting list. Thank you for your beautiful understanding and support by giving way.

What to Expect

Monthly Milestone: Each month, we connect scripture to the lived experience of becoming Muslim from the 'outside': the changes, the questions, and the long-term realities. No previous study required.

Your Speaker This Month: We are deeply grateful to be joined by Shaykh Musab Penfound. Born and raised in the UK, Shaykh Musab embraced Islam before dedicating years to studying the traditional Islamic sciences in Tarim, Yemen, under scholars including Habib Umar bin Hafiz. He brings a wealth of lived experience as a convert, pairing classical grounding with a profound understanding of the modern search for meaning, making complex spiritual realities deeply accessible.
