Sunday Roast
We get asked this all the time..... 'Do you ever do a Sunday roast?' Well, we have done in the past but not for a very long time. However, we think it's about time to try them out again. This time we will do things slightly differently and take reservations. This way, we will be better able to plan and make the right amount of food and all that important stuff! So, Event Number One..... Roast pork with all the trimmings! This will be an oven roast pork with (hopefully) plenty of crackling! Served with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, roast parsnips, carrots, creamed rutabaga and lashings of gravy!! I like to think us expat Brits can show folks from Iowa new ways to cook pork!! Well, this isn't exactly new but it's not a common way to prepare pork in Iowa. I think you're going to love it though!! This particular meal was one of my absolute favorites growing up and my sister and I would always fight over the crackling!!
