Celebrating Museums 2027
Booking Now Open - Celebrating Museums 2027
We invite people working and volunteering in museums across the North to join us for Celebrating Museums 2026 on Thursday 4 March at The Common Room, Newcastle upon Tyne
The event will be popular and there will be a limit of 2 places per organisation, so if possible, please discuss with your team who is the most appropriate person to attend. If more than 2 places are booked for an organisation, then we will be in touch to negotiate which to cancel. Many of the presentations will be available to view online after the event.
Celebrating Museums 2027 will be jointly hosted by Museum Development North and Arts Council England.
We will hear museums' stories of challenge, progress and achievement, and reflect on ways that we are moving forwards together across the North.
The day will feature:
- A programme of short presentations from a range of museums, with opportunities for networking
- Speakers from Arts Council England and Museum Development North
Please join us for a day that will be informative, inspirational and reflective.
This event is free of charge and includes refreshments and lunch for all attendees.
Access:
The Common Room building is fully accessible. The conference will be in the The Wood Hall. Lunch will be in the First Floor Landing space which is accessible from the Wood Hall using the accessible route and the lift. There is an accessible toilet at the back of the Wood Hall and on the ground floor in the main entrance.
