The Gingerbread House-making Workshops are held on Fridays,
Saturdays and Sundays and weekdays during week of Christmas   
North end of Coal Drops Yard, London N1C 4DQ
across from COS on the Upper Viaduct level next door to plants shop Botanical Boys

Make your own take-home gingerbread masterpiece in our workshop area. All of our gingerbread house making kits are delicious and freshly hand-made by our award winning baker, and we order each kit only after your confirmed booking. 

Each ticket is one (1) gingerbread-house kit, and it is suitable for maximum 4 people to share and make one (1) structure in our workshop. Workshop tickets do not include visit to the exhibition. Please purchase those separately HERE .

Your workshop ticket includes - presentation about the theme of our exhibition, gingerbread house pieces for one gingerbread structure per workshop group. Also includes candy and icing bags for your creative decoration.

The Gingerbread City® Workshops
Limited numbers UNTIL 28 December ONLY.

Workshop sessions are held on some Fridays, all Saturdays & Sundays, and on weekdays during Christmas week.

The Gingerbread City© is closed on 25th December.

About our Gingerbread House-making Workshop:

All of our gingerbread house making kits are delicious, edible and freshly hand-made by our baker after your booking. Because these kits are perishable food and we cannot keep them for future use: All bookings are non-refundable and non-changeable. If you are not able to come to the workshop anymore, please email us and tell us when you are coming to pick up your house-making kit - must be during The Gingerbread City exhibition hours.


The Gingerbread House-making Workshop ticket
is perfect to share for up to 4 people in a group or a family and make one gingerbread house together. Must include one parent or guardian in the group if there are children under 18's in the group. 

Under-3 is free to come into the workshop with a ticketed parent/guardian for the workshop. Maximum ONE (1) Under-3 per group of 4. We will do our best to accommodate regularsized pram or pushchair in the workshop area.

All workshop groups must have at least 1 ticketed adult present at all times. All under 18's need to be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Allergens warning:
*The gingerbread kits and candy are made in an environment that contains NUTS. Icing contains EGG.
ALL products may contain: EGGS, GLUTEN, MILK, WHEAT, SOY, GELATINE, NUTS.

Gingerbread ingredients:
Wheat flour (Calcium carbonate, Nicotinamide, Iron, Thamin) (GLUTEN, WHEAT), Pasteurised Cream (MILK), Honey, Icing Sugar: (anti-caking: Agent Silicon Dioxide), Egg yolk, food acid (E330), preservative (E202). (EGGS), Sodium Bicarbonate E500ii, Cinnamon , Spices Ginger Powder, Salt


INFORMATION about the Gingerbread Workshop:

  • This is a Workshop-Only ticket. Exhibition ticket is not included.
  • Each workshop is scheduled for one hour, but you may need more time or less time to finish your structure. Everyone will work at their own pace.
  • At the end of the hour-long workshop, we will wrap up your creation for you to take home in a big paper bag.
  • Our gingerbread workshop is suitable for children aged 3 and up with adult supervision.
  • Bookings are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Once you have booked your tickets, we do not offer any refunds or exchanges. All the gingerbread house kit is ordered after your tickets confirmation. If you are unable to attend, please email us to arrange for a date to pick up your gingerbread kit(s) from the workshop to enjoy at home.


About your visit:

  • There are no cloakroom or storage facilities on site. We kindly ask that you do not bring large backpacks, large bags, suitcases, bicycles, or children’s/adult scooters, as we are unable to accommodate them inside the exhibition space.

  • We will do our best to accommodate regular-sized pram and pushchair in the workshop area.

  • No food and drinks allowed. No animals are allowed inside except for guide dogs.

  • Allergy notice: Some structures in The Gingerbread City are decorated with nuts. Please ask us for more info when you arrive at the exhibition.

  • Photographs, videotaping, or recording for commercial use are not allowed without prior arrangement with Museum of Architecture via email.

  • No dangerous items are allowed inside the exhibition.

  • We reserve the right to refuse admission or to ask any visitor to leave the exhibition without refund, liability, or compensation if circumstances require us to do so.

  • We may, from time to time and without prior notice or refund, liability, or compensation, temporarily close the exhibition or any part of it, or limit the number of visitors for everyone’s comfort and safety, if circumstances require.

  • If you feel unwell, please stay at home and rest.
