Museums Northumberland is the public name for Woodhorn Charitable Trust, an independent charity providing Northumberland’s museums service.
Our vision is to ‘Share Northumberland’s stories to connect, enrich and inspire’
We are responsible for four museums across Northumberland:
- Woodhorn Museum located in Ashington
- Berwick-upon-Tweed Museum and Art Gallery found within the Berwick Barracks
- Hexham Old Gaol, located in Hexham town centre
- Morpeth Chantry Bagpipe Museum, located in Morpeth
And two further historic sites:
- Hexham Moot Hall, in Hexham town centre
- House of Correction, in Hexham town centre
We use the funds we raise to share and preserve Northumberland’s collections, stories and sites. We work with our communities and hundreds of partners to deliver great exhibitions and experiences and support learning and cultural engagement across our county.
You can find out more on the Museums Northumberland website.
