About the Anguilla Music Tourism Convention:
Music can make a destination punch well over its weight and attract long-stay tourists.
This is one of the many topics that the delegates of the Anguilla Music Tourism Convention will be exploring in 2025 - a global gathering to experience, learn & network with those responsible for the best global music tourism practices.
On November 4-7 2025 the Anguilla Music Tourism Convention will be taking place in the Caribbean and the first tier of Early Bird tickets have just been announced.
The Caribbean has a long history of using music to attract and provide transformational experiences to large volumes of tourists.
This goes back to Cuba’s Cha Cha Cha’s turning the world upside down in the 40’s, Jamaica’s reggae converting the island into a promised land for music fans in the 70’s, and Puerto Rico’s reggaeton leveraging songs like “Despacito” into a significant increase in inbound tourism.
Anguilla is part of this trend, a paradisiac beach destination whose Carnival and music culture play a role in making visitors turn into returning guests including some of the most famous artists of the world such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Paul McCartney and Justin Bieber.
This makes the island an ideal destination to host the 2025 Music Tourism Convention, an event that will serve as a catalyst for music tourism in the Caribbean and all across the Americas.
The Anguilla Music Tourism Convention will be a 3 day conference experience that will feature a global mix of speakers and delegates presenting and exchanging experiences on the latest trends in music tourism best practices and the value of music for shaping local economies.
The event will also include music showcases, workshops and networking receptions, providing attendees with a unique chance to experience the vibrant music scene in Anguilla while networking with high-level professionals.
“We are honored to welcome this prestigious event to our beautiful island, known not only for its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters but also for its rich musical heritage and vibrant cultural scene. The Music Tourism Convention is an incredible opportunity for Anguilla to showcase its unique blend of music, culture, and hospitality to an international audience.” - The Honourable Minister of Social Development Education and Culture Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers
“We’re delighted to be taking the Music Tourism Convention to Anguilla in 2025, and to be hosting our first ever Caribbean event! Anguilla as a leading music destination will provide an unrivalled setting for the global music tourism community to come together, network, and learn about the latest best case music tourism examples from around the world.” Luke Jones, Sound Diplomacy Events & Education
