Music Cities Convention is the world’s biggest event to explore the relationship between city planning, health, education, tourism, economic development and the music industry.

On 2 - 5 November, Music Cities Convention will be travelling to Tulsa, OK for its 11th global edition, presented by the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts, and Culture.
Featuring two days of talks and presentations, complimentary music tours, after parties and tons of live music and networking opportunities, the Tulsa MCC will be our biggest and longest event yet, and an all-round celebration of music and cities.
Tulsa is home to iconic venues including the historic Cain’s Ballroom, award-winning BOK Center and the legendary Church Studio, and has a deep-rooted music culture making it the perfect setting for Music Cities Convention.
Discover what inspired the “Tulsa Sound”, explore Tulsa gems like the Woody Guthrie Center and the highly-anticipated Bob Dylan Center, opening in May 2022, as well as learn all about how to use music to develop more vibrant cities with 30+ of the world's leading experts and 500+ delegates.

- Join us for the Official Opening Reception and enjoy drinks, food and live music at the unique Bob Dylan Center and the Woody Guthrie Center, two of Tulsa's most iconic music-related attractions.
- 3rd November 2022: Main Convention Day 1
- Music Cities Convention Talks @ Hyatt Regency, 8.30am - 12.00pm
- The 11th edition of Music Cities Convention will kick off at the Hyatt Regency Hotel with a morning of panels and presentations.
- Lunchtime @ Mother Road Market, 12.00pm - 1.30pm
- For lunch, attendees will be welcomed to the vibrant Mother Road Market to enjoy delicious food, a Route 69 themed mini golf and live music.
- Music Cities Convention Talks @ Hyatt Regency, 1.30pm - 5.00pm
- The afternoon will see delegates head back to the Hyatt Regency for more panels, presentations and networking.
- Evening Reception & Live from Cain's Recording @ Cain's Ballroom, 6.00pm - 8.30pm
- At the end of Day 1, we'll head to the historic Cain's Ballroom for an evening reception that will even feature a special "Live from Cain's" Recording!
- 4th November 2022: Main Convention Day 2

- The second day of panels and presentations will be happening at Cain's Ballroom, one of the landmarks of the Tulsa Music Ecosystem.
- Lunch & "Fire in Little Africa" Documentary Screening, 12.30pm - 1.30pm
- Fire in Little Africa is an album, documentary and podcast that brings together the top rappers, singers, musicians and visual artists in Oklahoma to commemorate the centennial of the 1921 Massacre and introduce Tulsa’s hip-hop culture to a global audience.
- Music Cities Convention Talks @ Cain's Ballroom, 1.30am - 4.00pm
- The afternoon will see delegates head back to the Cain's Ballroom for more panels, presentations and networking.
- Music Cities Awards Ceremony @ Cain's Ballroom, 6.00pm - 8.00pm
- After two successful virtual editions in 2020 and 2021, the Music Cities Awards are back with a special live ceremony taking place as part of the Tulsa Music Cities Convention
- First Friday Art Crawl @ Tulsa Arts District, 8.00pm - Late
- We're thrilled to be able to let our attendees experience the unique First Friday Art Crawl, voted one of the Best Public Entertainment Events in Tulsa.
