Randy Marsh & Cat Daddy

Randy Marsh, drummer and harmonica player, says he learned from the best: Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Frank Zappa. His musical inspiration came at a young age, sparked by his mother, Mary Lou, who constantly was spinning the latest jazz albums. He grew up enamored of artists like Cream, Jimi Hendrix, The Mothers of Invention and blues and R&B artists like harmonica players such as Little Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson. Later on, he reconnected with his father, saxophonist Arno Marsh, and played with him numerous times prior to Arno’s death in 2019. He has been the drummer with the celebrated group Organissimo for a quarter century, and is a longtime member of the Jeff Haas trio and the eclectic Big Fun, which incorporates elements of jazz, funk, classical, bluegrass and world music. Now the 2013 West Michigan Jazz Society Jazz Musician of the Year is bringing his new organ trio Cat Daddy to The Homestead.

Food and beverages will be available to purchase at the event. There will be local beer and wine offerings. You are welcomed to bring your own picnics. No outside alcohol is allowed.

There are 110 seats available on a first-come, first-served basis, the remaining is open lawn seating. This is an outdoor event, please feel free to bring your own chairs and blankets.
