The Music Party
Welcome to the Second Edition of The Music Party!
Upon enthusiastic requests following a highly successful premiere of The Music Party in early 2024, hostess Sumina Studer is bringing back a unique musical experience - London’s very first and only public sight reading party.
The first half of the night features a 45 minute performance of acclaimed cellist Oliver Herbert and pianist Olga Zado, following a public chamber music jam session for the audience (you!) to partake in.
We kindly ask that you bring sheet music parts and/or our iPad if you have specific repertoire requests.
What is a sight reading party?
Imagine your musician friend hosting a house party. After socialising and a few drinks, people start unpacking their instruments. Lo and behold, you're playing some Mozart quartets or Brahms quintet together - just for fun! If you think that this could be a fun nerd fest for classical music enthusiasts. you are absolutely correct.
The event is not seated and has a casual feel.

"For us professional musicians, classical music can, unfortunately, easily consist of a rigid practice regime and a pressure to perform perfectly.
