St. Patrick’s Day is getting a distinctly Cape Breton soundtrack in 2027, as legendary Celtic family group The Barra MacNeils bring their celebrated live show to Fredericton for a special performance at The Grand Bella, the newly renovated event space located on York Street in the former St. Paul’s United Church. The Barras at The Bella promises to be more than just a concert. It will be an evening of music, celebration and East Coast spirit, bringing one of Atlantic Canada’s most beloved musical families together with one of Fredericton’s newest and most distinctive event spaces.

The venue features both main-floor and balcony seating, bars on each level and a newly installed, state-of-the-art sound system — creating an intimate yet impressive setting for live music. “This is a show that works on more than one level,” said Krista Touesnard of The MRTI Agency, promoters of the event. “First of all, The Barra MacNeils on St. Patrick’s Day is pretty special all by itself. But then you put that show inside this beautiful, historic new venue, and it becomes something really unique. We think people are going to love the combination.”

Combining the energy of St. Patrick’s Day, the musical firepower of The Barra MacNeils and the atmosphere of The Grand Bella, The Barras at The Bella is shaping up to be a memorable night of East Coast Celtic music in the heart of downtown Fredericton.
