Oliver Nelson (Violin) and Vasilis Razitkis (Piano)
The concert begins with Schubert's 'Grand Duo' - a work on a larger scale and more individual than his previous works for violin and piano, followed by Brahms' most concise and lyrical sonata amongst the three he composed for this medium. The recital concludes with Richard Strauss' epic and rhapsodic sonata, which in scope and style, foreshadows his many tone poems.
