Synopsis:

The juxtaposition of eroticism, Christianity and mortal sins shocked the first audiences of Strauss' Salome 120 years ago. In this epic story, Herod holds the prophet Jochanaan in captivity. Herod's daughter, Salome, is immediately attracted to Jochanaan, but her attempts to seduce the prophet are in vain. An electrifying story unfolds.
