MM x Emerald: Northern Summer Picnic

A laid-back summer social with the Northern Muslamic Makers and Emerald Network crew!

Come hang out with the MM & Emerald community in the beautiful surroundings of Roundhay Park, Leeds. Expect sunshine (we hope!), good vibes, and plenty of shared snacks.

Roundhay Park, Leeds — one of the UK's largest urban parks. There's free parking on-site and the park's well-served by public transport too.

This picnic is all about sharing and connection. Bring along:

• Something to eat with the group — sweet, savoury, whatever you love!
• A drink or two for yourself!
• A picnic blanket — need a place to sit and chill!
• Games, cards, or anything fun for the group!

Help us plan: message the organisers with what you’re bringing so we don’t double up too much.

Heads up: This picnic is weather-dependent, no one likes soggy samosas. We’ll let you know via email and Whatsapp if plans change.

Who we are

Muslamic Makers helps the next generation of Muslim changemakers level up across the tech industry and beyond.

We started life as a monthly meetup in 2016 in London which gave Muslims a safe space to share ideas, network and collaborate. We focus on upskilling the community through events, mentorship, programmes, and scholarships. We've expanded our events to the north of England, Boston (USA) and Toronto (Canada)! The Northern chapter hosts events across Manchester and Yorkshire, come join our community to learn more!

Emerald Network

Emerald Network is a volunteer-run Muslim professionals network. Established in 2004, it has hosted and collaborated with organisations to deliver events and initiatives connecting communities, showcasing arts, businesses and charities.
