🐦 Discover Birdwatching

Curious about the birds that live around us? Join us for a relaxed birdwatching workshop on Peel Hill designed especially for young adults aged 16+. We'll be meeting at Fenella Beach Car Park and go for a wander around Peel Hill... Do you think we'll see Puffins??

Whether you're completely new to birdwatching or already enjoy spending time outdoors, this free event will help you develop practical wildlife observation skills while exploring local habitats and learning how to identify different bird species.

During the workshop, you'll gain skills in:

🔭 Bird identification using appearance, behaviour and calls

👀 Wildlife observation and recording techniques

📱 Using apps and field guides to identify species

🌿 Understanding local habitats and biodiversity

📖 Basic wildlife surveying and nature recording skills

🌍 Learning about conservation and how monitoring wildlife helps protect it

This is a great opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, build confidence in outdoor settings, and meet other young people who share an interest in wildlife and the environment.

Please bring your own binoculars if you have some, though all equipment will be provided, and no previous experience is needed. Just bring suitable outdoor clothing and a sense of curiosity.

Free event for young adults aged 16+ 🐦✨🌱 Booking is essential
