Mystery Trivia Night!
By day, I run custom trivia events for clients. Now I'm bringing them to you! Over two hours, you'll play six rounds of trivia — each a unique blend of trivia and puzzles. There are six rounds, including:
Mystery Themes. 12 general knowledge questions whose answers share a common, hidden theme that you have to figure out.
Raddle Round. Based on my daily word game Raddle. Consecutive answers in this round are connected by transformations. It's up to you to determine which transformation goes in which spot.
Mash-ups. Construct new words from trivia about two categories, like movies & board games, or cryptids & chain stores.
Music Mystery. Hear a clip of a cover song; name the song title and the artist covering it. Earn extra points for finding a hidden theme linking the songs.

"You might be wondering: why pay $15/person when we can go to free pub trivia? Without giving away too much—because figuring out how each puzzle worked was part of the fun—what Sandy is putting together has almost nothing in common with bog-standard pub trivia. If you like the daily Raddle, there’s more where that came from, and this is where you find it."
-Melinda
Cost: $15/person. One ticket, for a 4-person team, is $60
Duration: The event lasts about 2 hours
Food: The Western has a full kitchen. You can order and eat while you play
Age: The Western allows all ages. I'd recommend 16+ as a minimum player age
Prize: Members of the winning team will each win a 3-pack of Clandestine Field Notes
Can't make it? Sign up for our Puzzling in Chicago mailing list here.
I look forward to seeing you there!

The Mystery League
*Note: this event is Mystery Trivia #1, i.e. the same set of rounds that I ran at the February 3 and March 3 events, so please skip this one if you attended either of those!
