This class, led by Harmonie Baker, will work on taking haunting scenes from literature and folklore and rewrite them for a MYT Spooky Halloween production. Students will mix classics with urban legends to bring a chill down the spine of the audience. Students will use improv and peer review to figure out what makes a story scary, how to build suspense and how to break the tension with a well-timed laugh. Students who work on this script will get author recognition and the option of producing/performing the show in October for a Halloween audience.

• WHO: Open to children aged 12 to 18 years old (younger with permission of instructor)
• WHEN: August 1-11, Monday-Thursday, 10am-2pm
• WHERE: MYT Executive Director Harmonie Baker's home and yard in Pigsville/Valley Park neighborhood
• COST: $80, Scholarships available upon request
• PLEASE BRING: A packed lunch each day and a lawn chair marked with your name. Chairs can be stored on site.
