Description: In this beginner class, edible artist & Food Network Champion, Justine Martin will guide participants through modern and classic piping techniques and styles to create cupcakes worthy of sharing with those you love, or hoarding for yourself. Participants will learn: , how to colour buttercream, how to fill a piping bag, a variety of piping techniques/styles, simple food photography, safe food storage, other professional techniques, tips & tricks.
PLEASE NOTE! Participants will leave with a set of 6 cupcakes and decorating materials. Gluten-free and vegan options are available! Please email mythsandmirrorsoutreach@gmail.com to request this!

Artist Bio: Justine (she/they) is the autistic, queer, non-binary and disabled artist behind the multi-award winning and internationally recognized Guilty Pleasures Bakeshop, in Northern Ontario.
Justine is a Food Network Champion and serial cake competitor. She was named Rising Star of Year at the inaugural American Cake Awards.
Her edible art has been featured by HuffPost, Business Insider, American Cake Decorating Magazine, Cake Masters Magazine, BakeMag, Baker's Journal, Today's Bride, and more.
Justine is a vocal advocate for intersectional issues including queer and trans rights; chronic illness, disability and accessibility; and autism and neurodivergence.
