On Sunday, October 6, the Wooster-Orrville NAACP will host its annual Freedom Fund Dinner at Greystone Event Center.

Doors open at 5:30p and this event is Dinner Attire 

 This year's dinner will feature an in-house Soul Food Dinner and a Silent Auction, with tickets priced at $60.00 per person.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be Rev. Thomas L. Bowen, White House Senior Advisor for The Office of Public Engagement.

The theme of this year's event is "Community Engagement/Save Our Democracy!"

The proceeds from the Freedom Fund dinner and online auction will contribute to funding college scholarships for local students of color. To date, we have awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to deserving students, thanks to the generosity of individuals like you and local businesses who share our vision of equality and a robust democracy for all.

Our country is experiencing trying times, requiring each of us to participate in protecting our democracy. One of our goals as members and friends of the NAACP is to spread the truth about injustice in our communities. Critical to this goal is educating our youth so they have the knowledge, the wisdom and tools needed to recognize injustice.
