A virtual writing circle for truth-telling, witnessing, and reclaiming your voice.
Writing what the “good daughter” and "good son" never felt safe enough to say
Facilitated by Natasha Sandy, CPTSD Therapist & Defiant Daughter
ALL SEXES & GENDERS WELCOME
You learned what is required of you to be the "good daughter" or "good son."
Agreeable. Dutiful. Compliant. Polite. Grateful.
Keep the peace. Swallow the pain.
Don't dwell.
Don't rock the boat.
Be who they need you to be.
But you don't.
Or you can't.
Or you’re just now learning how not to.
This is a writing circle for the sons and daughters who defy.
Not out of spite or malice or hate, but out of instinct.
Out of the sacred whisper in your bones that says:
“I will not disappear.”
This isn't about demonizing your mother or father, or forgiving them.
This is about reclaiming your inherent power. 🔥
In this 90-minute virtual circle, we’ll write to re-member things like:
🔹️What you lose when you stay silent
🔹️What you reclaim when you speak your truth
🔹️What it costs to defy
🔹️What it gives you back
🔹️...and more
And maybe, just maybe — you’ll write the beginning of a new story. One where being a son or daughter doesn’t mean self-abandonment or gaslighting yourself.
One where your truth gets to take up all the space.
Get to witness others' truth and be witnessed in yours. 💞
You don’t have to be a “writer.”
Come as you are. There is no pressure to perform, no gold stars, no good girl or good boy points.
Just your Truth.
Come write with us. ✍️🔥
Note: Cameras are required to be turned on during the writing circle to support trust-building and intimacy.
