Monitoring and Identifying Ladybirds for Beginners
Share this event
This workshop will introduce you to some of Ireland’s 38 Ladybird species. Learn about their life cycle, the types of habitats they can be found in, and what features to look out for when identifying and recording different species.
Depending on the weather, we will then head outdoors for guided fieldwork where you will try out identification keys and practice monitoring skills with support from the workshop lead. It will be a relaxed and hands-on session, designed to build your confidence in spotting and recording Ladybirds.
